The Lil Wayne I grew up a fan of is genuinely into skateboarding. It still sounds weird even saying it out loud but I am in position to judge people on their hobbies and guilty pleasures. So Wayne keep on skating.
You know it’s a true hobby of his when you have your own personal private skatepark, like the one he has in Miami. We have seen countless videos of Wayne skating, the injuries caused from it and even the lyrics we heard referencing to skateboarding. So needless to say this isn’t a fluke thing or a drastic cry for attention.
To further entice us to focus on his skating and I must say he is getting better, he invited Red Bull’s pro skater Torey Pudwill to his private skatepark out in Miami for a good old skate session.
The most I ever came close to skating was the classic Tony Hawk Pro Skater video games.. Now if Weezy wanted to get on that then we can take it there, LOL.
Most of us know Lil Wayne as a Grammy-winning hip-hop artist. But to those close to the skate industry, he’s also known as a passionate skateboarder. This isn’t Justin Bieber on a skateboard, trying to build street cred. Nor is it a way for the Young Money boss to sell more records to a new audience. No, Lil Wayne loves everything about skateboarding. He skates when he can, he hangs with those who skate, and he follows skateboarding as much as possible.
Step inside Weezy’s private skatepark for an all-time session with with Torey Pudwill and Lil Wayne himself.
