This winter, the ingenious brand that the fashion community has been obsessed with, Vetements, will be releasing a collaboration with Canada Goose. We were given a peek of the jackets during Vetements’ Spring 2017 Ready-to-Wear show at Paris Couture Week last weekend. The collection was chock full of 18 collaborations (yes, eighteen)ranging from Juicy Couture and Manolo Blahnik to Champion and Dr.Martens. Just as promised, the brand’s menswear and womenswear garments were both presented in one show, living up to the brand’s gender-bending aesthetic.
The jackets made with Canada Goose were styled slung off the shoulder and being held up by harnesses. For Fall/Winter 2016, Vetements is giving shoppers updated versions of Canada Goose’s Macmillan and Snow Mantra jackets. The Macmillan will come in a reversible camo, with a green print on one side and a black and white print on the other. The style will also be available in a shiny black and red reversible version. The Snow Mantra jacket will be a traditional black with a few fresh changes.
Canada Goose is known for being a luxury outerwear brand and Vetements provides some of the most desirable yet unattainable pieces at the moment, so I’m sure these jackets will cost a pretty penny. The price tag won’t stop those in the fashion world who are in love with Vetements’ innovative, tongue-in-cheek designs. The collaboration is set to drop in November.
