You can breath a sigh of relief Pacers fans.
Even though he couldn’t leave under his own power. David West has confirmed the ankle sprain, will miss the rest of preseason. But might possibly be ready for opening day according to the Indianapolis Star.
The power forward sat in the stands in a walking boot following an MRI that showed “nothing major. Just a good sprain,” said Pacers coach Frank Vogel.
“I sprained it really good,” said West, who used a cane to walk around the gym on Monday. “It’s a tough, tough sprain.”
West will miss the final two preseason games but expects to be ready for the Pacers’ home opener Oct. 29.
That is great news. Because if that was worse. You can go ahead and call them a Playoff team. If David West was out for a legitimate amount of time. That means they lost the talent in Stephenson, the star in Paul George and the spirit in David West. All they could’ve been left with was Roy Hibbert. No thanks.
In other news. Rodney Stuckey will also miss the rest of the preseason with a foot injury. He has been battling it but the soreness has increased. The Pacers are taking so many minor blows along with the shot in the arm that was Paul George’s injury. How they got to this position is astounding.
