Tyler Perry has reportedly set the stage for the first film he will release under his four-picture deal with Amazon. The New Orleans native is expected to release a film called Black, Blue & White starring Kat Graham, Meagan Tandy, Tyler Lepley and Josh Adeyeye. Perry’s next picture will tell the story of “a woman named Fela Blackburn, whose life is shattered when she loses her husband, Rodney Blackburn, at the hands of a police officer.”
“Determined to get to the bottom of the incident and seek justice, she leans on her best friend, Marley Wells, who is a lawyer, and her husband, Tony Wells, who is a former cop turned private investigator, to use their influence to find the truth,” the logline reads.
“But as the truth unfolds, Fela learns that her entire world is rooted in lies and betrayal.”
Black, Blue & White is one of several projects led by Perry. Elsewhere, he is developing a World War II drama starring Kerry Washington and a Kelly Rowland-led thriller called Mea Culpa. At this time, there are no release dates for any of his three projects.
