Atlanta based artist Troyman has released his latest project, Insomniac. His new project features eight new tracks and appearances from D Smoke, T.I. and Londynn B. Throughout the twenty-five minute project, Insomniac showcases the Rhythm + Flow finalist’s ability to balance lyricism and showmanship.
One of the many highlights of the project comes when the Atlanta based artist opens up about his xanax use.
“Xannies from my granny/She got a prescription/And I need/Skippin’ z’s/I’ve been on a mission/Stealing xannies from my granny/I’m a lil’ n*gga/I ain’t ask for permission/But she’s such a forgiver/Stealing xannies from my granny/She won’t even notice/Not because she’s old/Just because I’m the coldest/Stealing xannies from granny/I ain’t proud,” he raps.
On other tracks like “Mutual Friends,” he opens up about the awkward feeling of running into your ex at kickbacks, parties and social events.
“Ran out of love today/Somebody needs a hug today/Claim that you love me, but we’ve got to end things the ugly way,” he raps.
