21 year-old Trevor Jackson is out here living the life. Fresh off the success of the first season of Grown-ish, the Indianapolis native is preparing for the release of his new film, Superfly. The soundtrack for the film is set to be released on June 8th with features from Future, Lil’ Wayne, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Miguel, 21 Savage, Khalid, H.E.R and more. While Jackson is not on the soundtrack, he has his own musical output. Just this week, Jackson put out a video for his new single, “Right Now”.
“Right Now” is a smooth ballad off of Jackson’s latest project, Rough Drafts Part I. Jackson kicks off the record by singing, “Just stand right here/Let me show you what I’m about/To do to that body/And come down here/Let me show you where to touch my body/Let the foreplay began.” Jackson also lets the woman of his desire know when he sings, “Close your eyes/The ice on your back got you so froze/Yeah baby, yeah baby/Now grab the sheets, yeah.”
The video itself matches the tone of the song. In his own R&B style, Jackson lays his vocals over the track with a black background as he chases the woman of his dreams. The video takes a twist at the end when the visual alludes to the story of Adam and Eve. It’s a twist you’ll have to see to understand. Check out the full video right here.
