First impressions are important and Roxine Helberg is certainly making a strong introduction with her directorial debut, Cold Copy. Deadline has reported that Helberg has recruited Tracee Ellis Ross, Jacob Tremblay and Bel Powley to appear in the film. Nesta Cooper, James Tupper and Ekaterina Baker are also tied to the developing picture. At this time, it is unclear what role each actor will play in the promising film.
“[Cold Copy] tells the story of a young broadcast journalism student trying to win the approval of her influential mentor who pushes her to reconsider the meaning of truth if it means success,” the film’s logline reads, per Deadline.
It is unclear when Helberg will begin filming or when the motion picture will hit theaters. However, it does appear that principal photography has wrapped up and Scythia Films, Votiv Films and Needle’s Eye have stepped in as producers. Meanwhile, Charles Stiefel, Lee Broda, Kyle Stroud, Shivani Rawat and Julie Goldstein are among those who have stepped up as executive producers. Stay tuned for more to come regarding this developing project.
