Former Washington State Cougars junior guard TJ Bamba has announced he has transferred to the Villanova Wildcats. This move seems to be Bamba focusing on his goal of one day making it to the league and playing basketball for an NBA team. Bamba took a serious step up this past season as a junior for the Washington State Cougars. When he entered the transfer portal it was expected that he would get attention from some of the best college basketball programs in the NCAA. Villanova is looking to add talent and have a better season this Fall.

This past season as a junior for the Washinton State Cougars, TJ Bamba averaged 15.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 42.6 percent and a three-point percentage of 37.2 percent. Villanova in recent years has proven more than capable of getting their best players into the NBA. While Jay Wright is no longer there, the program is still capable of getting guys to the next level. Winning helps that and the program would like to see more of that in the 2023-24 college basketball season. Bamba will be a welcome addition to the Wildcats next season to help them win some more of those games.
