A producer by the name of William “Will K” Kissas has accused Tinashe and music producer MAKJ of “copyright infringement.”
Kissas alleges that he made contact with Johnson in February 2019. Kissas claims he then sent music over to Johnson in hopes of working with Tinashe. However, he argues that he made it clear that he must be given production credits for his work if it was used. Kissas now claims that his work was used without credit on Tinashe’s standout track, “Save Room For You” with MAKJ.
Before filing a lawsuit, Kissas claims that he attempted to make contact with Johnson, but he was ignored. He is now accusing the two of “copyright infringement and fraudulent misrepresentation.” Moving forward, he is hoping to recoup financial damages and stop the two from selling the song in the future.
Tinashe nor MAKJ have formally responded to this lawsuit as of yet.
