The Toronto Raptors have possibly avoided being dealt a huge blow in free agency next summer by re-signing one of their young wing players, Terrence Ross.
Ross was not expected to re-sign any kind of big deal with the Raptors and it was long assumed that he would be able to walk during restricted free agency. Now it appears that Ross will be re-signing with the Raptors for a few more seasons.
Following from Sam Amick of USA Today Sports.
Terrence Ross gets three-year, almost $33 mil extension done with Raptors at deadline, I can confirm.

And Terrence Ross confirmed the agreement on his twitter account.
Happy to say I will be in #Toronto 4 more years! I want to thank God, my family, management, and the @Raptors! #WeTheNorth

The 24-year-old is a skilled wing player. He’s a high-flyer and he can knock down some shots from three-point but he does lack defensive stopping ability as well as the ability to put the ball on the floor and drive to the rim. He started 61 games last year and averaged 9.8 points, and had his best game of this season Friday with 21 points in a victory over the Boston Celtics.
The Raptors agreeing to this extension helps them avoid letting Ross become a restricted free agent next summer, when Toronto could’ve been forced to match a more expensive offer sheet from any of the 20 plus teams that have max cap room to waste.
