Apple along with Apple Music are on a winning streak, they can’t do anything wrong at this juncture. While we received the keynote this month for upcoming Apple devices, Apple fans are celebrating in anticipation for the newest gadget from the brand. Not only that but just this Sunday (yesterday 9/20) Drake (Apple brand ambassador) along with Future (the hottest rapper in the game right now) dropped an Apple Music exclusive album, ‘What A Time To Be Alive‘. Mind you this was all on a Sunday along with Drake’s OVOSound radio show. I wonder what the ratings were on this.
What could Apple do next to keep the social media atmosphere buzzing? Well for the 67th annual Emmy’s there was this one Apple Music commercial that took Twitter, Facebook, just about anywhere you can name by storm. Starring Taraji P. Henson, Kerry Washington and Mary J Blige in the ‘Instant Boyfriend Mixtape Service’, we get a look at three successful Black women joined in together enjoying the sounds of Slick Rick, Snoop Dogg, Blackstreet, Busta Rhymes and Puff Daddy. They also talk about the Apple Music service and how creating a playlist through them now eliminates the whole ‘mixtape’ making aspect.
If you don’t have Apple Music yet you’re doing yourself a disservice, better get hip to it now, you won’t regret it.
Check out the commercial below and look for more to follow.
