
Atlanta artists and community leaders T.I. and Killer Mike step up to provide the people of their hometown with free meals.
In collaboration with a local organization, PAWKids, the rappers provided a fresh, hot meal to over 500 families in the Atlanta area.
Vibe reports on Wednesday, May 6, T.I. and Killer Mike served meals from Bankhead Seafood to those desiring the contribution and followed up with home deliveries of food and essentials. The men also gave $500 to some families in need.
Celebrities have recently used their financial status and social power to help communities heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Rapper Megan Thee Stallion plans to donate all proceeds from her remix to “Savage” featuring Beyoncé to coronavirus relief. Rihanna, Cardi B, Lizzo, and more have also donated to support organizations, populations in need, and essential staff as the pandemic continues.
T.I. shared the moment on Instagram, uploading a video with the caption “Just doin our little part.” The “Bring Em Out” rapper recently joined the cast of Genius: Aretha, a series by National Geographic.
