Summer Walker appears to be back in the studio preparing for a major move in the new year. In a cryptic Instagram post, she posted a picture of herself in the studio with the caption, “Album.” At the moment, it’s unclear if the album is completely finished, in the works or still in the early stages.
Summer Walker’s debut album, Over It, was incredibly well-received in October 2019. The 18-track project moved nearly 140,000 units during its first week and sparked a nationwide tour. Since then, she’s kept fans engaged with the Life On Earth EP. She’s also hopped on records with a number of artists including Khalid, 21 Savage and Jhene Aiko.
In addition to releasing music, she’s also launched her own label called Ghetto Earth Records. Thus far, she’s signed NO1-NOAH, who appeared on Life on Earth. Outside of launching her own label, she’s announced that she’s pregnant with her first child.
From becoming a mother to launching a label, Summer Walker has a lot to manage and look forward to in the new year.
