Stella Meghie has reportedly signed on to direct episodes of Disney+’s upcoming series, Wonder Man, for Disney+. Starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, the series will follow the story of the industrialist turned superhero that was once an enemy of Iron Man before becoming a part of the Avengers.
Meghie is best known for her work on the 2020 romance The Photograph, starring Lakeith Stanfield and Issa Rae. Within the realm of television, she has directed episodes of popular television series like Insecure, Grown-ish, First Wives Club and Minx. Moving forward, she is also rumored to direct episodes of the Disney+ series, Tiana.
Wonder Man is among the many Marvel series expected to hit Disney’s streaming service in the near future. Later this year, new seasons of Echo, Secret Invasion, What If, Ironheart, Loki and X-Men ’97 are expected to arrive on Disney+. Next year, Daredevil: Born Again, Spider-Man: Freshman Year and Agatha: Coven of Chaos are expected to debut as well. At this time, there is no release date for Wonder Man.
