Not long ago, Grown-ish ended an era. After four years and eight semesters of drama, Zoey Johnson and the crew traded in their class schedules for tickets to the “real world.” While Grown-ish stars Yara Shahidi, Trevor Jackson and Diggy Simmons will return for a fifth season, it’s time for a new set of students to embark on their college journies.
Leading the next generation of Cal U students, Marcus Scribner will reprise his role as Junior, Zoey’s younger brother. Along the way, he’ll be joined by another familiar face, Danielle Perkins. Perkins will return as Luca’s little sister, Kiela. The class roster will also include Tara Raani, Justine Skye, Amelie Zilber, Ceyair Wright, Matthew Sato and Slick Woods.
“Zoey and the gang enjoy life post-graduation while Junior and a new crew steps in to Cal U.. grown-ish season 5 returns on Wednesday, July 20. Stream on Hulu July 21,” the trailer’s description reads.
