Tis the season for multiple trailer releases. We have trailers for Civil War and X-Men: Apocalypse, and now, Paramount Pictures explodes heads with the trailer for Star Trek Beyond. Since taking over the franchise J.J. Abrams has revived the series, but has since stepped down for director duties and left it on the hands of Fast and Furious director Justin Lin. Judging by the trailer alone, its been left in good hands. What’s more it that movie was penned by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung. Expect nothing but high octane action and witty comedy which is opposite of the previous Abrams-helmed projects.
Let’s just chalk this up as win for all Trekkies and casual movie lovers.
Star Trek Beyond will hit theaters and IMAX on July 22, 2016.
