Although Marvel has revealed several stars in the upcoming “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, they’ve been pretty adamant about keeping the characters themselves under wraps. However, as Slash Film reported today, “Homecoming” director Jon Watts has shared some intel.
Tony Revolori will be playing Flash Thompson. Of course, we’re not talking about Barry Allen the “Flash” – Flash Thompson is Peter Parker’s high school bully, previously portrayed by Chris Zylka in 2012’s “The Amazing Spider-Man”.
Zendaya will be playing Michelle, who in the comics plays a role in Peter Parker’s adulthood. She ends up as Peter’s roommate, so naturally, they sleep together and complicate things. Early speculation has been that Michelle will be a love interest for Peter Parker, rather than Mary Jane.
Laura Harrier joins the cast as Liz Allan, Flash Thompson’s girlfriend. Jacob Batalan will be playing Ned Leeds, another high school rival for Parker.
We also know that Robert Downey, Jr. will reprise his role as Iron Man for the film, which makes sense, given his apparent bond with Spider-Man that was introduced in “Captain America: Civil War”. Also, Michael Keaton will be the vulture, a villain.
