A new report from Business Insider has outlined sexual misconduct allegations made against SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.
The recent report stems from Elon Musk’s alleged interaction with an unnamed flight attendant. According to the flight attendant’s friend, Musk asked the attendant to give him a full-body massage in his room. During the massage, Musk allegedly removed his towel and displayed his erect penis. Then, Musk allegedly rub the woman’s leg and promised to buy her a horse if she was willing to do “more” for him. The report indicates that the the flight attendant declined Musk’s offer and became “really upset” afterward. After allegedly declining his advance, the flight attendant was offered fewer shifts.
In 2018, Business Insider reports that the flight attendant filed a complaint against SpaceX and Musk. The complaint was allegedly taken to a mediator and the flight attendant was given $250,000. In exchange for the payment, the flight attendant was allegedly barred from speaking about Musk, SpaceX or the incident in a negative manner.
When approached for a comment on the matter, Musk reportedly called it a “hit piece” and said that there was “a lot more” to the story.
“If I were inclined to engage in sexual harassment, this is unlikely to be the first time in my entire 30-year career that it comes to light,” Musk told Insider.
After being approached for a comment by Insider Investigations Editor John Cook, Musk sent out a series of tweets that appear to be directed at the outlet’s article.
“In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold,” he tweeted on Wednesday.
Amidst accusations of sexual misconduct made against Musk, a number of accusations of sexual misconduct continue to arise within the workplace at both SpaceX and Tesla.
