Source: Ray Allen Will Play Next Season, Cavs Frontrunners
Ray Allen has reportedly been at supreme odds in regards to returning to play another NBA season. Retirement is the alternative for the 39-year-old, and continuing to play alongside LeBron James is a known and ideal desire. ESPN’s Chris Broussard just reported this from his source via Twitter,

Allen has said that playing with LeBron James would be his preference, but he also referred to wanting both financial stability and the right rapport with the head coach. Doc Rivers has reached out to Allen about joining the Clippers, and other teams are surely at least inquiring about the best three-point shooter in league history.
Cleveland landed three-point shooters Mike Miller and James Jones, both of whom had chances to play and win with LeBron James in Miami, like Allen. Adding Ray Allen to Cleveland’s new crop of snipers would round out their outside shooting threats pretty nicely.
