As usual, Russ has remained extremely consistent and successful while being relatively quiet. The year was marked by his new project, Zoo. The 2018 effort from the Atlanta based musician arrived back in September. The project came in with fourteen records that included a limited number of features. Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg and Mahalia snuck in with the only guest appearances on the project. Building off of the success of his last project, the new project from Russ landed in the top five of the Billboard 200 charts. To close out the year, Russ has dropped off three new tracks that didn’t quite make the album.
Ahead of the new year, Russ has dropped a three track project called Just In Case. The new project from the New Jersey native comes in with songs like “Nobody Knows”, “Fix This” and “Alright”. When releasing these songs, Russ told his fans, “I made these 3 songs right around the time Zoo came out.” He later added, “I feel like they belong in that chapter of my life, so I want you all to have them.” Stream the new three track project and stay tuned for new music from Russ in 2019.
