Ahead of their matchup on a special Tuesday night in the NBA, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Sacramento Kings face off amid some new controversy, as a new person will be manning the helm for the Kings as they have fired their head coach, Mike Malone.
Don’t forget, their star center, DeMarcus Cousins, is still out with a disease.
And to put the icing on top, Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant are back and are in full swing of getting back to their winning ways and currently have the second longest active winning streak in the NBA, only behind the Golden State Warriors.
Oh yea and the thing where Perkins and Golden State Warriors big man Marreese Speights have a war of words as well.
This weekend though, a mini war of words took place between Kings star Rudy Gay and Thunder reserve center, Kendrick Perkins.
Here’s what was said a while ago by Perkins about the Kings when they faced off earlier in the season.
Here’s the original thing that Perkins said that definitely annoyed Rudy Gay.
Then, Rudy Gay had some comments about Kendrick Perkins.
Kendrick Perkins spoke negatively of the Kings early in season. Rudy Gay: "He might as well play with his face painted, he's a clown to me."

After that, Kendrick Perkins made some comments about Rudy Gay.
Kendrick Perkins on Rudy Gay's clown comment: "I'd rather be a clown than a virus."

More Perk on Rudy Gay: "At least if I paint my face I can wash the paint off. A virus gets in your bloodstream. You can't get rid of that."

‘A virus’. At the surface of it, you don’t understand what he means. If you actually look at it though, for Gay’s career, whenever he joins a team, that team goes down a little bit, hard on their luck. Once he leaves them though, they get a lot better, much like a virus.
Need an example? Look no further then the standings in the NBA today and where Gay’s 2 former teams, the Memphis Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors, are located in the standings.
Something is going to be goin’ up, on a Tuesday, when these two faceoff.
