Rockstar Games appears to be saying goodbye to the past and looking forward to the future.
Earlier this week, Game Rant pointed out the developer’s decision to share the credits for GTA V and a “thank you” message for all those who contributed to its development.
“Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online represent the combined efforts of our global team over many years,” the note reads.
“We want to acknowledge and thank everyone who has contributed to these games, from their original launch in 2013 all the way through to the present day.”
The “thank you” message was shared just a few weeks after Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick reportedly mentioned the development of GTA VI during an earnings call.
“With development of the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series well underway, the Rockstar Games team is determined once again to set creative benchmarks for the series, our industry, and for all entertainment — just as the label has done with every one of their frontline releases,” Zelnick said, according to Hypebeast.
Unfortunately, Rockstar Games has not offered anything more concrete regarding the game’s development, plot, release date or pertinent details.
