At the end of 2018, it appeared that Revolt had a hit television show on their hands. With Joe Budden leading the way, the show appeared to have a balanced cast with diverse opinions. After a strong run, the show appears to have hit a speed bump. First, Scottie Beam mysteriously missed a few consecutive shows. Then, Joe Budden reportedly went through a separation from his fiancée, Cyn Santana. Now, the criminal justice system is confronting another member of the cast. According to reports from TMZ, Remy Ma is facing multiple charges stemming from a Love & Hip-Hop related incident.
Remy Ma is battling two counts of assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree and one count of harassment in the second degree. These charges stem from an alleged incident in which the New York native is accused of punching Love & Hip-Hop star, Brittney Taylor.
Initially, reports indicated that the incident took place at 9:30 p.m. on the night of the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert at Irving Plaza in New York City. In response, the musician claimed to have proof that she was not at the venue at the time in question. Since then, prosecutors have widened the time frame to 9:30-10:30 p.m. Unfortunately, she may have tougher time fighting the charges with a widened time frame.
The rapper has reportedly been offered a plea deal that would require her to cop to the assault charge and enroll in a long-term anger management program. However, she has not accepted the deal yet. If she refuses, trial will begin in July.
