R. Kelly’s bond set at $1 million following first hearing since charged with sexual abuse.
This news comes after the singer turned himself in on February 22 to the Chicago Police Department. R. Kelly’s $1 million bond requires the star to turn over his passport as well as cease contact with any witnesses or alleged victims. R. Kelly also is not to have contact with anyone under the age of 18.
The Surviving R. Kelly docuseries which aired on Lifetime in January shared the experiences of multiple women and families tied up in R. Kelly’s alleged disturbing acts of sexual violence.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports in total, R. Kelly faces 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. R. Kelly and his lawyers continue to deny any allegations.
