If Guapdad 4000 has fans in Costa Rica, Pusha T appears to have fans in Ukraine. In a recent tweet, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense posted an infographic highlighting their recent victories in war. How did they choose to caption the tweet? As anyone else would do, they included a Pusha T lyric.
“I put numbers on the boards,” the account tweeted.
Never one to shy away from someone appreciating his lyrics, Pusha T quickly issued a response in a way that only he could.
“Great taste in music for the win,” Pusha T replied.
As bizarre as it may appear for Pusha T’s name to pop up on a Twitter feed by way of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, it’s not necessarily unheard of. Over the years, Pusha T’s talents, lyrics and presence have appeared in some unlikely places. He contributed to McDonald’s classic jingle and helped craft a song for Arby’s earlier this year. In the political realm, He has also teamed up with Hilary Clinton for a voter registration drive and visited former President Barack Obama at the White House. Recently, he sported a Tom Brady jersey in a commercial promoting the upcoming NFL season.
Pusha T may not be able to visit Ukraine at the moment due to the ongoing Russian invasion. However, the unexpected nod from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense arrives as he embarks on the second phase of the “It’s Almost Dry” tour. He plans to perform in Baltimore, Columbus, Norfolk, Pittsburgh and Indianapolis later this month. The Virginia native is also set to take the stage at Rolling Loud in New York this fall.
