Keisha Lance Bottoms will be making her way from Atlanta, Georgia to Washington, D.C. shortly. The Hill reports that Keisha Lance Bottoms will replace former Rep. Cedric Richmond as the Office of Public Engagement Director in the Biden-Harris administration. In this role, Keisha Lance Bottoms will interact with the public regarding the White House’s agenda through the upcoming election season.
This is not the first time that Lance Bottoms has worked with President Joe Biden. Leading up to the most recent presidential election, she was considered to be a potential running mate for Biden. More recently, she was appointed to serve as the vice chairwoman of civic engagement and voter protection at the Democratic National Committee.
As Election Day nears, Lance Bottoms will play a key role in convincing voters that the White House’s agenda is coming to fruition. Specifically, the Biden-Harris administration will utilize the office to convince the public that is properly addressing issues of inflation, rising gas prices, increasing rent, gun violence and much more.
Election Day is set for November 8, 2022. Key elections are set to take place in Georgia, South Carolina and several other states.
