Little is entering the last year of his rookie contract and the Blazers have seen the potential and production he can bring on the court. However, Little hasn’t been able to remain healthy at the start of his career.
He has yet to play 50 games in a season and, currently, he’s coming back from a shoulder injury that sidelined him in January after earning a spot in the starting lineup for Portland.
With the offseason addition of Jerami Grant, Little will likely come off the bench or move to the small forward position and share minutes with Josh Hart and Justise Winslow. The Blazers have a lot of young and talented players that will need to mix with the veterans Lillard and Nurkic.
Before the shoulder injury, Little was averaging 9.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 25.9 minutes per game while shooting 33% from the three-point line.
The Blazers start the season on Wednesday visiting the Sacramento Kings.
