Pierce Brosnan is a versatile actor with years of experience, but he will soon step into a role that is unlike anything he’s ever played in the past. Brosnan has been cast as Dr. Fate in the upcoming superhero film, Black Adam.
Prior to taking on this role, he was best known for his performances in GoldenEye, Die Another Day, The World Is Not Enough and Tomorrow Never Dies. He’s also starred in Mamma Mia and Mrs. Doubtfire.
Brosnan joins a star-studded cast that centers around Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Johnson will play the role of Black Adam. Meanwhile, Aldis Hodge of One Night In Miami will play the role of Hawkman. Noah Centineo will be known as Atom Smasher and Quintessa Swindell will play the role of Cyclone.
“Like most kids growing up, I dreamed about being a superhero. [I dreamed about] having cool superpowers, fighting for what’s right and always protecting the people,” Johnson said about his role.
“This role is unlike any other I’ve ever played in my career and I’m grateful to the bone we’ll all go on this journey together.”
Johnson will bring Black Adam to life on the big screen this year. The movie is set to debut in theaters on December 22, 2021.
