Actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge will take her talents to Amazon. Variety has reported that the Hollywood star is developing a new project for the streaming giant, but it is unclear whether she is working on a comedy or a drama. Furthermore, the report does not indicate what the plot would be or who will star in the project. With that said, it is expected that Waller-Bridge’s latest effort will begin production before the end of the year.
This is not the first time that Waller-Bridge has stepped behind the camera and created a series. Previously, she turned her one-woman show, Fleabag, into a series of the same name. During the show’s two-season run at Amazon, Waller-Bridge picked up six Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards.
Following the success of Fleabag, Waller-Bridge was linked to Amazon’s potential reboot of Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Donald Glover. However, she reportedly left the series in 2021. More recently, she has starred in the fourth and final season of Killing Eve. Moving forward, Waller-Bridge is expected to appear in the latest Indiana Jones reboot and Solo: A Star Wars Story.
