Pedro Pascal will be joining Gal Gadot for a key role in Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman sequel. Variety first reported the casting
The cast for the sequel continues to impress following the news earlier this month that Kristen Wiig has signed on to play Cheetah, the main villain of the film. Not much is known yet about the production or the character Pascal will be playing but he will apparently play a ‘key role’.
Wonder Woman was one of DC’s most commercially successful film. It almost surpassed Batman v Superman‘s massive $872 million worldwide haul with nearly $822 million globally itself. Wonder Woman has also been one of the most critically acclaimed DC films, earning a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Pascal has been impressing audiences since his role as Oberyn Martell on HBO’s Game of Thrones launched his career. He has also gained a following due to his turn on the Netflix series Narcos.
Recently, Pascal has begun making the jump from the small screen to feature films. After a memorable turn in last year’s Kingsmen: The Golden Circle, Pascal is set to star in the follow-up to The Equalizer set for release later this year.
The yet untitled Wonder Woman sequel is set to release November 1, 2019.
