If you needed two people to save the world, who would you call? Better yet, how far would you get until you arrived at Anthony Mackie and Damson Idris. In the world of Outside The Wire, the Idris-Mackie duo is the most qualified pair for the job. Throughout this new film, the two go to war to find a device that could trigger the end of civilization if it falls into the wrong hands. There’s just one thing out of the ordinary. Mackie’s character, Captain Leo, isn’t exactly human.
“When disgraced drone pilot, Lieutenant Harp is sent into a deadly militarized zone after disobeying orders, he finds himself working for Captain Leo, an android officer tasked with locating a doomsday device before insurgents do,” Netflix writes.
Mackie and Idris are joined by a cast that includes Emily Beecham, Michael Kelly and Pilou Asbæk. Behind the scenes, Mikael Hafstrom leads as the director.
