Omari Hardwick is ready for life after Power. According to Variety, Hardwick is in final negotiations to star in Spell, a new horror/thriller from Paramount Players.
Spell will tell the story of a man, played by Hardwick, who is stranded in rural Appalachia after a plane crash. Completely alone, the man is taken in by an elderly couple who seem harmless enough. However, the man quickly realizes not everything is what it seems as he’s pulled into a dark, sinister world. Kurt Wimmer has been tapped to write the script, which will be directed by Mark Tonderai. Wimmer is set to produce alongside Gordon Gray, Morris Chestnut, and Brian Wilkins.
Hardwick has starred on Power for its entire six-season run. The series is currently in the midst of its final season. Already scoring rave reviews and huge viewership numbers, Power looks poised to go out on top. You can check out Def Pen’s latest Power rankings here.
Spell is set to hit theaters on August 28th, 2020.
