More than 2,100 days have passed since Cardi B released her debut album, Invasion of Privacy. Since then, she’s toured the world, picked up a few awards and ventured into the world of film and television. As the sixth anniversary of her debut album nears, everyone, including Offset, is waiting for her second album to drop. Recently, the Set It Off artist took to Instagram to share a video of himself listening to the project.
“Stop being scary and drop the album. [This] sh*t goes crazy,” the video’s caption reads.
Cardi B hasn’t offered much information regarding the status of the album this year. However, she did mention that she had a release date in mind while speaking to DJ Whoo Kid last year.
“I’m kind of still working, but I have a date in mind,” she told DJ Whoo Kid.
“It’s not coming out on my birthday. [As a] matter [of] fact, I don’t want [anything] coming out in the month of October. October is my month. I don’t want [any] sh*t related to work in October.”
Most recently, Cardi teamed up with Megan Thee Stallion to release “Bongos.” The track’s visual has earned nearly 50 million views and a performance spot on last year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
