Octavia Spencer and Riz Ahmed will star in the upcoming Amazon Studios film, Invasion.
The script is written by Michael Pearce and Joe Barton. Invasion tells the story of two brothers who are on the run with their father who is attempting to protect them from an supernatural threat. As the story unfolds, the brothers confront their secrets and leave their childhood in the past.
Piers Vellacott, Derrin Schlesigner and Dimitri Doganis will produce the film. Meanwhile, Daniel Battsek, Ollie Madden, Julie Oh, Kate Churchill and Jenny Hinkey will executive produce the film.
This news comes as Spencer racked up yet another Primetime Emmy nomination. Meanwhile, Ahmed is preparing for the release of the upcoming film, Mogul Mowgli.
Invasion will begin to shoot the film later this year in the United States.
