Some light is being shed on “Blaxploitation.”
Being rather ironic due to her stage name, Noname is a woman that many have grown to know through Hip-Hop. Not your mainstream force like Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, Noname has proven to be a mega talent without the need of all the glitz and glam.
Releasing her most current project, Room 25, merely months ago, the Telefone followup has been met with much love and reviews from longtime and new fans alike. A project that tackles a range of topics, “Blaxploitation” is a must-hear that Noname has now given visual treatment to.
Sharing the record’s visual, we see a child innocently exploring a big city while being deemed a horror and menace. A subtle but effective means to highlight racism that plague Noname’s hometown, Chicago, and other cities across the United States, Noname strikingly gets the job done.
Powerful in all aspects, check out the “Blaxploitation” film, below.
