The St. Louis Cardinals and Colorado Rockies have agreed to terms of a blockbuster trade that sends all-star third baseman Nolan Arenado to the Cardinals. The Cardinals are expected to be sending some of the following players to the Rockies: LHP Austin Gomber, 1B Luben Banker, OF Jhon Torres, RHP Jake Woodford, or RHP Angel Róndon.
All of these players were reported courtesy of Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. On top of this wide net of players on the return, the Rockies and Cardinals have some significant financial figures to work through. Deferred money from Arenado, significant cash going from the Rockies to the Cardinals, and contract details to be ironed out.

The Cardinals are getting an all-star third baseman who is one of the games best talents. Arenado played in 48 games during the 2020 season where he hit .253/.303/.434 with eight home runs and 26 RBI on the year. In 2019, Arenado played 155 games where he hit .315/.379/.583 with 41 home runs and 118 RBI.
So far in his eight-season career, Arenado has accumulated five all-star appearances, eight Gold Gloves, four Silver Sluggers, and four Platinum Gloves. Not to mention the massive eight-year contract extension he signed with the Rockies this past offseason.
