Rather, the first sentence of this article refers to a potential debate featuring California Governor Gavin Newsom and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Both state lawmakers have agreed to a televised debate that is set to take place on November 30, 2023 at 9 p.m. during Sean Hannity’s nightly newscast. A location has not yet been finalized, but initial reports suggest that the Fox News broadcast will take place in Georgia.
“I’m looking forward to providing viewers with an informative debate about the everyday issues and governing philosophies that impact the lives of every American,” debate moderator Sean Hannity stated.
DeSantis is currently competing with Donald Trump, Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, Mike Pence, Chris Christie and several others for the Republican Party’s nomination for President in the upcoming election. Newsom was once thought to be a potential candidate for the Democratic Party’s nomination for President. However, he elected to forego a run at the Oval Office in 2024, but did not rule out running in the following election cycle.
