The cast of BMF will expand yet again. Following in the footsteps of Snoop Dogg and Eminem, Shaffer “Ne-Yo” Smith and Tauheed “2 Chainz” Epps are the latest musicians to appear in the hit series. Ne-Yo will play the role of Rodney “Greeny” Green while 2 Chainz will take on the role of Stacks.
“[Stacks is a] fiercely loyal and determined to provide for his family no matter the cost, Stacks lives by the street code and challenges Meech’s leadership style,” a description from Starz reads.
“[Green is] a local Atlanta player whose main focus is making money. While he oozes swagger and an entrepreneurial spirit, Greeny has more to him that lies beneath the surface,” a separate description from Variety reads.
2 Chainz is no stranger to television and film. Previously, he appeared in 2 Broke Girls and The Enforcer with Antonio Banderas. Similarly, Ne-Yo has appeared in Girls Trip, Empire and Step Up: High Water. Together, they will join a cast that includes Demetrius Flenory Jr., Da’Vinchi, Russell Hornsby and Michole Briana White. The show continues to perform well in its Sunday slot on Starz and has earned a third-season renewal.
