Since the NBA suspended the regular season due to the coronavirus pandemic, the league and the NBPA started the conversations in the last days of March to retain a percentage of the players’ salaries.
The money will be placed in an escrow account and will be returned to the players if the NBA season resumes and all the remaining games of the regular season are played. If the previous scenario doesn’t happen, the teams will retain a percentage of the money according to the number of games that get canceled.
