The Indiana Pacers have announced that starting big man Myles Turner will miss “at least” one week with a sprained ankle. He suffered the injury on Wednesday night during pregame warmups when he landed on a ball boy under the rim. Turner has had injury problems throughout his career, but most of them are nagging small issues much like this one. Trade rumors have circulated about Turner and the Pacers for several seasons now, but he has continued to play with the team. He should be back fairly quickly to officially start his season with the Indiana Pacers.

Last season in 42 games with the Indiana Pacers, Myles Turner averaged 12.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, one assist, and 2.8 blocks per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 50.9 percent and a three-point percentage of 33.3 percent. Indiana is not in a position to compete for a playoff spot this season and Turner missing a few games isn’t the worst scenario that could happen. We here at Def Pen Sports wish Myles Turner the best in his recovery and return to the court this season. Any potential trade will be reported here.
