On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, Netflix shared the first trailer for its new sports documentary, Mr. T: I Pity the Fool. From starring in Rocky III and The A-Team to his legendary wrestling career, Mr. T has been one of the most recognized names in entertainment for nearly 50 years, but the world still doesn’t know much about the man behind the character. Now, with Netflix, Mr. T will peel back the curtain and introduce the world of Laurence Tureaude. Director Scott Weintrob follows the rise of the iconic figure as he moves from childhood in Chicago’s Robert Taylor Homes to the red carpet.
