Former Vice President Mike Pence may have worked with former President Donald Trump for more than four years, but it doesn’t appear that their working relationship has continued to exist after leaving the nation’s capital. Most recently, Pence appeared on CNBC’s Squawk Box and discussed a number of topics, including the 2024 Presidential Election. When asked about the possibility of the Republican Party endorsing Trump yet again, he shifted attention toward other candidates.
“I think we’re going to have better choices,” the former Vice President said.
Later on, the discussion shifted toward the elections that took place in November 2022. At one point, Pence appeared to take another shot at candidates who followed the former President’s lead and question the results of the 2020 Presidential Election.
“Our candidates that were focused on the past, particularly on relitigating the last election, did not do well, including in areas that we should have done very well,” Pence commented.
Pence is rumored to be considering a presidential run of his own. However, he has not formally established his intent to run. During his time on CNBC, the former Vice President did not make any movement toward announcing his run.
“I’ll keep you posted,” he said when asked if he would run for president.
