Megan Thee Stallion is on her way back! On Tuesday, the Houston native unveiled the first trailer for her sophomore album, Traumazine. The cinematic visual finds two versions of the Grammy Award winner at a funeral set in the rain. One version of the chart-topping artist can be seen in a traditional, all-black outfit while the other can be seen wearing all white. Without explicitly speaking to the camera, she is seemingly triggering the death of the past and the birth of the future.
“Traumazine [is the] chemical released in the brain when it is forced to deal with painful emotions caused by traumatic events and experiences,” a post from Megan Thee Stallion’s Instagram reads.
Megan Thee Stallion has been working towards the release of her sophomore album throughout the year. First, she debuted “Plan B” at the Coachella Valley Arts & Music Festival in California. Then, she returned with a single called “Pressurelicious” with Future and an appearance on P-Valley. Most recently, she tapped in with the LA Leakers to deliver a freestyle over Nate Dogg’s “Regulators.” Now, she appears to be inching toward her official release date. While we wait to learn more about her next move, check out the Traumazine trailer below.
