GRAMMY-winner Megan Thee Stallion is working to give back to historically Black colleges and universities. The future Texas Southern University graduate has partnered with Fashion Nova to donate $25,000 to Bennett College in North Carolina. The $25,000 grant will work help build the school’s Entrepreneurial Studies program.
“What a time to be a woman, specifically a Black woman,” Bennett College President Suzanne E. Walsh stated.
“I am truly appreciative that Bennett [College] was not only selected but pre-selected to receive and participate in Fashion Nova’s new philanthropic initiative, “Women On Top.” This donation coordinates perfectly with who we are and what we represent as a historical higher education institution for women.”
This donation is part of a larger program put together by Fashion Nova. During the month of March, Fashion Nova aimed to donate $1,000,000 to women pursuing education, entrepreneurship and community development. The program will also work to help out other HBCUs like Norfolk State University, Virginia State University and North Carolina A&T University.
