Lupita Nyong’o and Scarlett Johansson have entered talks for Disney’s The Jungle Book.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, both actresses are in line to voice characters in Jon Favreau’s live-action/CG hybrid.
Johannson is up for the role of Kaa the python, while Nyong’o is set to voice Raksha, the wolf mother to Mowgli.
Idris Elba has already been cast as Shere Khan, the tiger in the new adaptation.
Warner Bros is also preparing for their own take on the old- time classic, with Andy Serkis directing.
Johannson was recently seen in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and will appear next in Lucy.
Nyong’o was last seen in Non-Stop with Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore.
The Jungle Book is scheduled to release October 9, 2015.
