Lonzo Ball is a young, talented guard for the Los Angeles Lakers, which makes him a lucrative addition to any package the Lakers can put together in the race for New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis.
Now, Ball has reportedly made clear that if he is included in any deal that sends him away from the Lakers, who drafted him second overall in 2017, he would prefer to be his new team’s top floor general, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Sources: Should Lakers/Pelicans trade talks pick up, point guard Lonzo Ball's camp prefers Ball to be moved to a third team that doesn't have an established point guard.

The request by the former UCLA Bruin would rule out the Pelicans, whose roster currently includes 2013 All-Star, 2018 All-Defensive First Team selection, and fellow UCLA alum Jrue Holiday.
Recently, Ball suffered a Grade 3 left ankle sprain in the Lakers’ matchup against the Houston Rockets on the 19th, which is expected to keep the second-year player sidelined for 4-6 weeks.
In his second NBA season, Lonzo Ball has started 45 out of the 47 games he’s featured in, with the Lakers recently slipping to ninth in the Western Conference following the injury sustained by LeBron James in the Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors.
