2016 might just really go down in the books as far as music goes. In an unexpected turn of events amongst all the new music we received this week or today (Friday, May 6th), this new song is the most surprising for me. Remember Lloyd? ‘Southside’, ‘Get It Shawty’ and ‘You’, Lloyd. Yes, him. Well today he unleashed this brand new track, ‘Tru’ produced by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. Now when I first came across the song my first thoughts were, ‘Where the hell has he been?’ Well that all has been answered as Lloyd doesn’t hold back anything and bares it all on this record.
To start things off before singing he answers those questions but it was when the song actually starts where even Lloyd admits he knows it has been a while.
“Hey world, yeah I know it’s been awhile”
Hopefully with this new song we get to hear and see more of Lloyd considering his last album, ‘King of Hearts’ was about 5 years ago. Listen to ‘Tru’ below…
