After such a long wait and all it took to get here, Tha Carter V is ours. Battling a long and rocky road, Lil Wayne has met great reward with the release of his latest studio album.
Breaking streaming records left and right, Lil Wayne has also gone on to set a new Billboard Hot 100 record, thanks to the album. Earning not 1, but 2 top 5 hits from the studio LP, thus far, Lil Wayne becomes the first artist to have 2 songs debut in the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100. With both tracks, ‘Mona Lisa’ and ‘Don’t Cry,’ featuring Kendrick Lamar and XXXTentacion, it’s no surprise that those tunes garnered so much attention.
Even better, the rapper has more hits on the way with ‘Uproar’ quickly picking up steam as the fan-favorite. The rapper recently shot the record’s accompanying visual in New Orleans.
If you haven’t already, be sure to get into Weezy’s more than solid Tha Carter V effort.
