Lil Kim has more than earned her place among Hip Hop legends. The honor bestowed by BET annually to artists who have forever impacted the culture. For decades, Lil Kim has been heralded as a game-changer for women in Hip Hop and beyond. Her debut album Hard Core was certified double platinum, offering three consecutive hits: No Time, Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix) and Crush on You, all reaching top spots on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart.
Her music is only half of Lil Kim’s legacy. The fashions sported by Lil Kim offered a new, refreshing image of women artists. Her looks are still influencing new rappers today.
