Fresh off of his performance at ONE Musicfest in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, Lil’ Baby has revealed the track list for his forthcoming LP, It’s Only Me. The Quality Control signee’s new album will include 23 tracks with contributions from Pooh Shiesty, EST Gee, Rylo Rodriguez, Future, Fridayy, Young Thug and Nardo Wick. To get the ball rolling on his latest album, the Atlanta native has delivered the project’s lead single, “Hey.”
“Sixty h*es in New York havin’ dinner/Bottega send it to me soon as they get it/I put Maybach seats in the Sprinter/Make sure ev?rybody sit comfortable/You gotta really pay attention, I’m not mumblin,” Lil’ Baby raps over the triumphant production.
“Sh? tryna have a good time, she wanna come with us/They know we can’t be f*cked with, they not one of us.”
While anticipation for It’s Only Me remains high, “Hey” was not particularly well received upon its release.
“I rock with Lil Baby but that Hey song ain’t it,” one fan tweeted.
“That Lil Baby “Hey” [song is] probably [going to] grow on [people], but I know he [has] a better song he could’ve dropped as the first single,” another fan tweeted.
Despite the criticism of his latest single, Lil’ Baby still has fan eagerly awaiting his next project. Following the success of My Way, the Atlanta native has toured with Chris Brown, picked up his first MTV Video Music Award and topped the charts. With the music world seemingly in the palm of his hand, It’s Only Me will mark the next chapter in his growing career.
